Date: One day in June, 2022
Location: Nishi-ku, Kobe City

One fine day in June, I went birding in a nearby farm field. It was a very hot day, and I could feel the arrival of summer.

On this day, Japanese Bush Warblers and Eurasian Skylarks that have been singing since early spring were still everywhere.

There were also many Burn Swallows flying around. They are in the middle of raising their young and are busy carrying food for their chicks.

Near temple T, I saw a young Blue Rock Thrush holding an insect in its mouth. It was probably a male, as its wings were turning blue.

I also saw many dragonflies along the riverside path that day.

It was very hot and tiring, but it was an enjoyable birding.
